Bromelain is an enzyme that is found primarily in the center post core of pineapples that is a great natural digestive aid (among other things). It specifically breaks down meats and other proteins. Fresh pineapple juice (or bromelain in supplement form) with your meal can assist proper digestion and also may help with the bloated feeling that can follow a big meal. Indirectly, this helps the body deal with fat. Since the bromelain is working on the protein more of your body's metabolism can attack and remove the fat with less storage. This could be something else to be thankful for.
