But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. - James 4:6,7
Humility is one of the most essential character qualities of the believer and allows us to properly respond to spiritual promptings. Humility and Power may sound funny together but Biblical humility is all
Biblical humility can be summed up as “lowering one's self for the purpose of taking on something greater.” God has already anointed the believer through Christ. His divine power has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness (2 Pet. 1:3) and He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings (Eph. 1:3). Humility aligns us with receiving and bringing to manifestation these reserved empowerments and enablements that we may live and operate beyond our abilities. “Grace to the humble”.
Thank you Father for your patient, love and grace. Your loving-kindness is better than life. It is so freeing to know that I don't have to have all of the answers and that I can lower myself, my ways, and my will to You and You bestow upon me Your greater. I receive Your greater wisdom for my ignorance, Your greater direction for my waywardness, and Your greater comfort for my storms. Thank you for showing me that there is power available for my life as I walk in humble submission to You. In the name of Yahshua (Jesus) I pray.
My life is not my own. I have been bought with a price. I don't put any trust in my skills, abilities, or resources. I lower myself that I may put on and move by God's greater which never fails. I also refuse to give any significant place to my trials and difficulties. I am not acting like they don't exist but I choose to lower myself and my fears concerning them that I may put on my God's greater solutions and remedies. My efforts alone will always leave me lacking. His anointing fills me to more than enough in every area of my life.
